Rebecca Scott
Paralegal
Rebecca Scott was born and raised in Denton County, Texas. In 1996, she
graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor
in sociology and social work from Texas Woman's University in Denton.
Rebecca has been employed in the legal profession for 18 years. Her career
began as a Deputy Clerk with the Denton County Clerk's Office where
she served in the criminal division. There she learned the intricacies
of criminal procedure and case progression. She continues to have excellent
relationships with the Denton County misdemeanor and felony court clerks,
and she has earned the respect and friendship of the Denton County Court
Administrators as well.
Rebecca left the Clerk's Office to enter private practice serving as
a paralegal for several excellent Denton County lawyers. Rebecca has thrived
as a paralegal where her skills in client communication and management
can best shine. She is extremely knowledgeable in the areas of Intoxication
Offenses, Occupational Driver Licenses, and Texas DPS Suspensions and
Surcharges. In 2014 Rebecca co-authored an article for presentation to
the Denton County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. As accomplished
as she is, when asked what she enjoys most about her job, Rebecca will
humbly reply, "I just enjoy helping people".
