A Firm History

The Law Offices of Nathan Miller

Nathan Miller began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney for Denton County, and loved every minute of it. However, he always felt a strong desire to be in charge of his own destiny, to place himself on a path where success or failure would fall entirely on him. It was that desire that propelled him to start his own law firm. He began with two goals in mind: Take on big cases and achieve good results for his clients. As a prosecutor, Nathan handled a wide range of cases, from simple misdemeanors to more complex felonies. This experience at the District Attorney’s Office has proven to be vital in his work over the past decade as a defense lawyer. To date, Nathan Miller has tried over 100 cases to a jury verdict.

Today, as a defender of citizens accused and an advocate for victims of crime, Nathan has the uncommon combination of courtroom experience, legal knowledge, and heartfelt desire. As the winner of hundreds of courtroom battles, Nathan has earned a reputation as an accomplished trial lawyer in North Texas. He has represented students and professionals, juveniles and retired persons. Professional athletes, physicians, lawyers, and even judges have consulted with Nathan during their most trying times.

His passion for education and desire to help at-risk clients led him to lead the field in representation of clients on diversion and rehabilitation programs. This field is Nathan’s passion as it truly changes the life of an entire family and community for the better. He continues to volunteer with organizations that educate youth on the dangers of social media dangers and substance abuse, which often result in criminal charges for young people.

Over the past decade, Nathan has tried over 100 DWI cases to jury verdict. Successfully prosecuting and defending a DWI case requires serious knowledge of alcohol and drug impairment. Nathan has completed training in field sobriety testing and laboratory analysis of blood for alcohol and drugs. This specific knowledge has led Nathan to success not only in trial court, but also at the appellate court level. Nathan was never interested in specializing his litigation practice. He firmly believes that if a good lawyer works hard enough, he or she can try anything from a misdemeanor theft case to a complex securities fraud case to a wrongful death case. That’s exactly what Nathan has done.

Nathan’s experience as a DWI prosecutor and defense lawyer was instrumental in his practice expanding to the civil representation of victims of crime. As a prosecutor and defense lawyer, Nathan earned a reputation as an accomplished trial attorney by working hard and fighting zealously for the right reasons. With his trial skills and experience fighting for victims, Nathan is prepared for any circumstance or legal battle.

Today, Nathan and his small, boutique firm devotes its practice to Texas criminal and personal injury law. While his firm primarily serves Denton and Northeast Tarrant Counties, Nathan has achieved noteworthy success representing individuals and families in Dallas, Collin, Rockwall, Cooke, and Parker Counties as well.
